The Young Philatelists

The Young Philatelists is a newly launched CCA in Sengkang Green Primary School in partnership with Singapore Post. Philately is the collection and study of stamps.

Our Young Philatelists will have the opportunity to spark their curiosity through the study of stamps and philatelic material. Students can research historical and cultural contexts, learn to pay attention to details, strengthen their communication skills, and embark on their own self-directed journeys of discovery that extend beyond the classroom. The CCA aims to nurture in the Young Philatelists the SKGIAN Learning Dispositions such as Sense of curiosity, Knowledge of the world, Grit, Inventiveness, Appreciation and eNgagement. These learning dispositions will develop the Young Philatelists to be effective lifelong learners, ready for the future.

The Young Philatelists CCA was officially launched on 5 March 2026 by our Principal Mr Gau (3rd row, 4th from left) and the Postmaster General, Ms Neo Su Yin (3rd row, 5th from left) from SingPost.
