Key Programmes
Reading Programme
Our Reading Programme is a targeted initiative designed to enhance the reading skills and language proficiency of students in their mother tongue language. The primary goal of this programme is to promote literacy and fluency in the students' mother tongue language, recognizing the crucial role that a strong foundation in mother tongue language plays in overall cognitive development and academic success.
Key components of the Mother Tongue Language Reading Programme typically include:
Cultural Integration: Beyond literacy, the program seeks to integrate cultural elements into the reading curriculum, fostering a deeper connection between language and cultural identity. This approach not only enhances language skills but also promotes a sense of cultural pride and understanding.
Diverse Reading Materials: The program provides a diverse range of reading materials, including age-appropriate books, stories, and texts in the mother tongue. This ensures that students have access to materials that are engaging, relevant, and reflective of their cultural context.
Interactive Learning Approaches: To make the learning process enjoyable and effective, the program often incorporates interactive and participatory learning approaches. Activities such as storytelling, group discussions, and language games are commonly used to make the learning experience more engaging.
Parental Involvement: Recognizing the crucial role of parents in a child's language development, the program may encourage and facilitate parental involvement. This could include providing resources for parents to support their children's language learning at home and organizing activities that promote a collaborative approach to education
In essence, our Reading Programme aims to create a supportive and enriching learning environment that not only enhances language skills but also fosters a sense of cultural identity and pride among students.
