The Young Philatelists
Learn how our students discover the world of stamps while exploring history, culture and stories from Singapore and around the world.
The Young Philatelists CCA is a platform for future ready learners to enrich their minds and practice empathy and gratitude through the sharing of stories and personal experiences linked to each stamp.
Our Young Philatelists will be given the opportunity to spark their curiosity through the study of stamps and philatelic material. Students will gain insight into history, nature and culture and heritage of Singapore and the world. Our CCA members will be able to display our SKGian dispositions such as sense of curiosity and knowledge of the world through the collection of philatelic items with an appreciation of the past, deliberate learning from the present and proactive readiness for the future.
Our students do not just collect stamps. Through the activities, learning journeys and meaningful discussions about stamps and philatelic materials, they develop their critical thinking and communication skills together with a deeper understanding of civic, global and cross-cultural literacy.
